Artius Marketing was born out of a simple yet persistent frustration: finding quality housing options while navigating the challenges of relocating for college. When our founder, Khizer, moved to Davis, CA, he realized that most available listings for off-campus housing were limited to just a few outdated photos, leaving much to be desired. After a lengthy drive to visit in person and eventually moving in with a friend, he discovered a significant gap between how properties were presented and the reality on the ground.
At the time, cutting-edge technologies like Matterport were transforming real estate marketing in the Bay Area, but this innovation was noticeably absent in Davis and the greater Sacramento region. Khizer's interest was piqued, and he took it upon himself to change the landscape. The first-ever 3-D scan under the Artius banner was none other than his own college apartment. Recognizing that the initial effort lacked the polish expected by realtors, Khizer offered to create a complimentary scan of his leasing office’s more aesthetically pleasing model unit. His proposal, however, was met with a resounding “no.”
Undeterred, Khizer approached and successfully pitched four neighboring apartment complexes, establishing Artius Marketing as a credible player in the space. What began as a personal quest to improve transparency in college housing has since evolved into a thriving marketing company that serves communities throughout the region.
